It has taken me over 20 years to figure out what my Ikiagai is (a sense of purpose, a reason for living). I’ve led sales teams, started four previous ventures (some that were successful and some less so) and worked directly with founders at scaleups in what I know now as a Chief of staff role.
In all of these roles, I have been able to very quickly discover and fix the real problems that prevent the business from achieving their goals. With that, there have been difficult conversations, sometimes a reality check but always a new perspective and a clear path of what needs to happen next and finding this path is what I have enjoyed.
Growing a business isn’t rocket science; it doesn't have to be volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (all the time) and that is why Zaidaan exists. Zaidaan is to help founders untangle thoughts, slow down the feeling of spinning plates and be clear in the steps that will grow the business.
The building of Zaidaan is all the components of my Ikigai - doing what you love, doing what you are good at, providing what the world needs (what founders need) and providing what people will pay for.
This personal evolution means that each work interaction through Zaidaan is not work for me. Through client interactions, I am continually learning about new tech, new industries, new regions, and new people to work with. It makes it thoroughly enjoyable and completely rewarding.
All of this whilst fulfilling my passion: the utter belief that there is always a solution to a problem and by communicating clearly, always being ready to ask the difficult questions, and being completely willing to roll up my sleeves and get stuff done, I will find that solution
